COUNCIL OF PARTNERS

The Council of Partners is an advisory body to the Dean, composed of representatives of the major partner institutions of the Faculty. These include institutions from the state administration, local government of the Pilsen Region and local municipalities, the non-profit sector, as well as language and educational organisations, museums, archives, libraries, important regional and local actors and representatives of the private sector. Cooperation between the faculty and institutions is one of the tools for increasing the employability of the Faculty's graduates, as well as for continuous improvement of the quality of study programmes.

The cooperation is pursued through regular meetings of the Faculty's management and partners to exchange information between academia and practice. The partners provide the Faculty with:

- reflection on the quality of study programmes in terms of demands from professional practice
- critical reflection on the profiles of the graduates
- suggestions for the revision of the existing programmes
- feedback on important strategic materials of the Faculty and how they are implemented
- input to the strategic planning of the Faculty
- suggestions useful for the design of applied research and popularisation activities
- reflection on the outputs of research activities, especially in the field of applied research

Cooperation is also pursued in the field of internships and work experience for students of the Faculty, which students can complete with selected partners. Internships carried out during the course of studies enable students to better orient themselves on the labour market and deepen the knowledge and skills acquired in their studies. In return, the partners get the opportunity from the Faculty to employ students as interns in their organisation and thus reach out, in advance, to future potential job applicants. This form of cooperation is an important tool for preventing the outflow of skilled workers from the region. Another important dimension of cooperation is the participation of partner institutions in the development of career-oriented study programmes.
