Erasmus Coordinators

Eva Kotoučová is the Erasmus coordinator at the International Office (IO) - central office of the University of West Bohemia (UWB) situated at main Bory campus. She is in charge of all incoming exchange students from all 9 faculties of UWB. She is usually first contact person for the applications, accommodation, student cards’ applications and all other practical parts of students´mobilities. She provides students with the Letter of Acceptance, Arrival certificate and Departure Certificate.

KAP

Helena Bauerová is the Erasmus coordinator at the Department of Politics and International Relations (KAP). She handles foreign cooperation and incoming and outgoing mobilities in this department only. She takes care of the courses offered to international students by the KAP; thus, international students can ask her for help if they want to know more about the content, requirements, and schedule of these courses or their lecturers. Students can also contact Dr. Bauerová if they need help finding the KAP and classrooms to explain the „zero-tolerance of plagiarism“and where they can find syllabi of KAP's courses.

KSS

Alena Pařízková is the Erasmus coordinator at the Department of Sociology (KSS). She is interested in the issues of international migration, life course, health, inequality and gender. In the past, she has participated in the project analysing changes intimate and family relations in the Czech society. She conducted qualitative research of Czech economic migrants in the UK and examined their family relations, working trajectories and gender aspects of their experiences. She also led a small research project on football fans analysing processes of identity and neo-tribes processes. Currently, she is focusing on health and migration or travel. First she focuses on migrant women and their maternal health. Phenomenon of women who travel for preferred services for long distance or abroad is another research focus. In the area of social work and inequality, she is focusing on intersection of violence, marginalisation and sex-work.

KAR

Luboš Chroustovský is the Erasmus coordinator at the Department of Archeology (KAR). He takes care for the incoming and outgoing mobilities at this department only. He also handles the courses for foreign students at KAR. Students can contact Dr. Chroustovský in case they have questions about the content, requirements and schedule of these courses or in case they need help to find any information about the KAR department or classrooms as well.

KRO

Helena Horová is Head of the Department of Filological Studies (KFL) at Faculty of Arts and also the Erasmus coordinator at the same department. She specializes in research in lexicology and French didactics. He has been involved in student mobility activities for 20 years, with a particular focus on the preparation of double degree programs. She is constantly studying foreign languages (French, German, English and Italian).

KFI

Stefanie Dach is the Erasmus coordinator at the Department of Philosophy. She is responsible for incoming and outgoing students in international exchange programs (Erasmus+, CEEPUS, and others). Please contact her if you have questions about the courses for international students taught at the department, general questions about studying at the department or about other practical matters concerning your stay.

KSA

Gabriela Fatková is the Erasmus coordinator at the Department of Anthropology (KSA). She manages foreign cooperation and oversees both incoming and outgoing mobilities exclusively for this department. She is responsible for the courses offered to foreign students by the KAP, and thus, foreign students can seek her assistance for information about course content, requirements, schedules, or lecturers. Additionally, students can contact Dr. Fatková if they have questions about the KSA department or need help finding information about classrooms.

KBS

Jan Záhořík is an Africanist, historian and anthropologist, his research deals with modern and contemporary history of Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa, issues of ethnicity and nationalism, conflicts in Africa, Czechoslovak-African relations during the Cold War, and issues of migration, security and development in the West African Sahel. He is co-editor of the most comprehensive work on the Horn of Africa to date (Routledge Handbook of the Horn of Africa, 2022). He has written or edited over ten monographs published in the Czech Republic and the USA. In January 2023, he received the Rector's Award of the University of West Bohemia for his contribution to the international development of the university in science and research. He has lectured at about twenty universities in Africa, Europe and the USA.

KHV

Jiří Vyčichlo is the Erasmus coordinator at the Department Historical Sciences (KHV). He manages foreign cooperation and oversees both incoming and outgoing mobilities exclusively for this department. He is responsible for the courses offered to foreign students by the KHV, and thus, foreign students can seek his assistance for information about course content, requirements, schedules, or lecturers.
